How Valuable Is Your Health?

In the modern world, health is taken for granted. It is not truly valued and the 'simple' things in life are not fully appreciated. Breathing, moving, eating... all these things we don't think about. That is till sickness rears its ugly head.
This time last year I received my 2nd COVID-19 vaccine 💉Within 12 hours I started to display extreme symptoms and was rushed to hospital. 8 hours later and I was diagnosed with 4 blood clots.
This meant a complete change to my diet and lifestyle as I knew it. I spent several months on daily medication with strict rest instructions... which meant no physical activity. Simply walking upstairs was a workout for me and my resting HR was 120bpm which was almost double my normal rate.
For the first month my motivation was an all-time low. If I weren't working, I was sleeping and completely isolated myself from everyone.
This all changed when I spoke to one of my dearest friends, who is sadly no longer with us. He said it was simply just another obstacle and an opportunity to come back even stronger than before. "You are your own limits". I also met my amazing partner who is my rock. He supports me throughout everything, and I am so appreciative to have him in my life.
I have gone from not being able to walk upstairs to attaining PB'S in the gym and feeling the strongest I have ever felt. I now live my life to the fullest.
My moral here is... Never take your health for granted. If you put your mind to a goal, you can achieve anything ❤️
